Since 2016, Australian entrepreneur, Terry Kyle, co-founder of WPX.net, an independent, high-speed WordPress hosting company for solopreneurs and small businesses, has been using WPX’s success to care for 500+ homeless dogs in Bulgaria in Eastern Europe, where WPX is headquartered.
In 2019, Terry created the nonprofit NGO, EveryDogMatters.org to expand that work and in 2020, built his own dog shelter on 27,000 m2 (about 6.5 acres) of farmland where 140 rescue dogs currently live in large yards that are not overcrowded with dogs, where all dogs get excellent medical care including orthopedic operations, hydrotherapy (if needed) and all the normal medical care that pet dogs should get.
With this level of space and care, these rescue dogs are much more physically and emotionally healthy and more adoptable (you can meet them here).
Terry is trying to promote this model for future dog shelters everywhere and end the unnecessary suffering of shelter dogs housed in tiny prison cells or overcrowded group cages in shelters all over the world.
